I am a trial lawyer who understands how powerful institutions operate—and how to challenge them when they place profit over people or abuse their authority. Over the course of my career, I have developed a deep, practical understanding of institutional decision-making, risk tolerance, and defense strategy. Today, I am honored to bring that experience to the deliberate work of standing with people who have been silenced by entrenched power.

I choose to fight for employees facing discrimination and retaliation, survivors of sexual harassment and assault, voters targeted by discriminatory laws, and individuals harmed by unsafe practices and institutional indifference. When the opponent has vast resources, institutional advantage, or entrenched authority, I do not hesitate. Those are the cases where my preparation, judgment, and resolve matter most.

I prepare every case with one assumption: it may end in a courtroom, in front of a jury, with everything on the line. From day one, I investigate aggressively, anticipate the defense’s next move, and build my cases to win the fight, not to avoid it. That trial-ready mindset shapes how I litigate, how I negotiate, and how I advocate for my clients at every stage.

Before joining Carter Law Group, I practiced at leading trial firms in Washington, D.C. and Dallas, taking multiple cases to verdict before judges, juries, and arbitrators across the country. My work included representing voters challenging racist and discriminatory voting laws nationwide, most often in Texas—experience that sharpened both my courtroom skill and my commitment to confronting systemic injustice.

While living in Washington, D.C., I served as Counsel to then-U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris, advising on U.S. Supreme Court confirmations and the first impeachment trial of President Donald J. Trump. Operating in high-stakes, high-profile proceedings refined my ability to navigate intense pressure and confront powerful adversaries—skills I now bring directly to my clients’ cases.
