I’ve practiced law in major cities across the country for more than 20 years—but at heart, I’m still the small-town girl who grew up in a sawmill town of 750 in southeastern Oklahoma. I didn’t know a single lawyer growing up. What I did know were hardworking families—like mine—who lived paycheck to paycheck and bore life’s blows without a safety net.

In those communities, an accident, injury, or unexpected loss doesn’t just cause pain—it derails everything. I became a lawyer to stand up for families like those I grew up with. Because justice shouldn’t be reserved for the powerful. And because no one should face hardship alone.

Before I earned my law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law (Order of the Coif), I became a mother. That experience shaped everything about how I practice. I know firsthand how fragile the balance between work, family, and survival can be. And I carry that understanding into every case I handle.

I’ve spent my entire legal career taking on the giants—insurance companies, pharmaceutical corporations, and other powerful institutions that put profits over people. I’ve stood alongside families facing their worst days, and I’ve fought like hell to make sure they aren’t just heard—but respected and compensated.

I’m the daughter of a union ironworker and a postmaster. I’ve walked the line between grit and grace my whole life. At Carter Law Group, I bring both to the courtroom—fighting for working families with compassion, strategy, and unwavering resolve.
