My journey into the legal field began the summer after my freshman year at Southern Methodist University. What started as a job as a legal secretary and receptionist quickly became a calling. By the time I was a junior, I was working part-time as a word processor at a large plaintiff’s firm while earning dual degrees in Economics and Political Science from SMU. That experience cemented my passion for law and advocacy.

After graduation, I began full-time work in the International Law Department at Dresser Industries, where I was promoted from legal secretary to paralegal. Knowing I had found my lifelong profession, I returned to SMU to earn my Paralegal Certification with a specialization in Litigation.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked on both sides of the legal battlefield—plaintiff and defense. My background spans corporate law, real estate, mass torts, and complex litigation. But without question, plaintiff work is where I’ve found the deepest meaning. Fighting for the injured and the wronged isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.

After taking time off to raise my two boys, I returned to the legal field with even more determination. As a mother, I understand the weight of advocacy on a personal level. That’s why Fight Like a Mother resonates so deeply with me—it reflects our firm’s mission and my own: to fight fiercely, intelligently, and relentlessly for every client we serve.

I don’t just manage files—I build relationships. I help tell my clients’ stories. And I stand beside our attorneys to make sure justice isn’t just pursued—it’s delivered.
