Tracy’s Background

My interest in the legal field began the summer of my freshman year attending Southern Methodist University. I worked as a legal secretary/receptionist for a large law firm and my interest in the field of law was created. By the time I was a junior in college, I was attending SMU and working part-time as a word processor for a large plaintiff’s law firm. I graduated from SMU with a degree in Economics and a degree in Political Science and quickly acquired a full-time job working for Dresser Industries as a legal secretary in their International Law department where I was then promoted to paralegal.

I decided to make things official and once again attended SMU to receive my Paralegal certification with a specialty in Litigation. Since then, I have worked on both sides of the fence for plaintiff firms and defense firms. I have worked in corporate law, real estate, mass tort, and litigation.

During this time, I took some time off work to raise my two boys, but soon returned to my work with the law. I have now been working in the legal field for twenty years, and by far my favorite type of work has been working for plaintiffs.

I enjoy working with my clients, learning their stories, helping them develop their cases, and aiding the attorneys in making sure they receive a fair and just resolution to their cases.
